My work is created to embrace and absorb the voluptuous, alluring, and sexy formation. Referencing the human body, societal ideals, and my own fascinations; environments are grown to house the Utopian and explore tensions of boundary.
I reference a grand scheme of things: medical textbooks, the dictionary, geological objects, glamour magazines and fashion. Myself. Ideas of what is always compacting, growing, and changing with pressure – within the limitations of form and material - bring a sense of challenge and humorous awe into my work.
